Sale season! One of my favorite sales is the Clear the Rack Sale because you can get soooo many great items for $20 give or take 5 bucks! So once again, here is what I got!

These Marika leggings are also more than 60% off. I actually got marble leggings from the same brand but they already sold out. I wish I had seen these because OMG I want them!

Nordstrom HALF-YEARLY SALE

Oh Nordstrom, every girl's favorite place to shop (or at least mine). The wonderful store is having their half-yearly sale from now till June 3rd and there are so many good buys happening. I'll just get started and show you what is in my shopping cart AND what is on my wish list.

This top has been on my wish list FOREVER now that it's 50% off it has made it's way into my shopping cart. Yay!

I could never turn down a cute peplum top especially one that is less than $12. That is why this top has also made it to me shopping cart.



Nordstrom always has the best decanters but they sell out so fast. This one is less than $40 so I'd hurry if I were you.


I'm really excited for this piece. I think it would be great for a picnic or beach trip. Lately I've been really into yellows, but on the other hand I'm always down for a nice pink shade. Honestly I'm torn between the two.

This dress has been sitting on my wish list for about a month and NOW IT'S 50% OFF! I want this dress so badly but unfortunately I've got nothing going on for some time so I can't bring myself to get it. If only our Hawaii trip was set in stone, this dress would be half way to my house by now. #wishlist

Summer time = Espadrilles. These little cuties are under $50 but hurry because every time I check them out another size is sold out. 

I am literally obsessed with these adorable J. Crew espadrilles. They have such a Kate Spade-upbeat feel to them. Plus! They are under $100!

OMG can you even handle how adorable these are?!

You're probably thinking skorts are "so last year" or whatever but I think we can all agree this skort is worth trying out! Okay, last wishlist item back to what I'm actually buying.

Pom poms and tassels always scream summer to me so I'm snagging this dandy tassel necklace for less than $25!

Last, I will leave you with this fun skirt. I already bought it but I thought I should let you all know it is now 50% off! A total steal, if you're in the market for something fun to add to your closet I highly recommend this beauty!

Cinco de Mayo! (At Epcot)

I'm not a huge drinker buuuuut when it's Cinco de Mayo we must have Tequila!

Lucky me, my sister had that Saturday off so she came up and we took her little munchkin to

Disney World!

 Sister and I figured, "Hey all the lines in Mexico are so freaking long today lets get two margaritas each now so were not spending the entire day in drink lines." 

Solid plan if you're used to drinking.

Long story short, I couldn't even finish one before my belly turned so I pored the rest into a water bottle (because you know $12/marg will not be going to waste) and that water bottle is still in my freezer. :)

I'm so glad I spend the extra $5+ for express shipping on this shirt. If I hadn't I wouldn't have gotten all the sweet compliments walking around the park. I love how bright the colors are! I also love how I wasn't crazy hot out in the FL heat all day. It's super light material but (praise the Lord) not see-through. 

All day, there were on and off sprinkles of rain. Unfortunately I forgot the ponchos in the car and we got caught in what felt like a monsoon! I'm not kidding Sister and I were the only ones not prepared for down pour. It was raining so hard I could not see! Whether it was the glitter from my eye shadow or mascara dripping into my eyeballs I could not open my eyes hahaha 

The irony behind the rain was that this storm hit as I was buying my niece and decretive sun umbrella lol 

 Hahahaha her faces kill me! I enlarged this photo so you could see alllllll the sparkles in her stroller. Her dress was just shedding sparkles, by the end of the day my sister and I looked like we had just stepped out the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! For those not familiar the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a Disney solan where kids can go to be transformed into Disney royalty.

Cocoa Beach

Deni and I spent the weekend in Cocoa Beach for a friend's birthday. These are a few of my favorite photo's from the trip. DISNEY DAY (PACKING LIST)

Disney World is probably my favorite go-to place for a day of fun. I mean, it's the most magical place on Earth! My boyfriend Deni works for Disney so he gets us in for free and that helps us tremendously with the over all cost of our visits. Honestly, getting in for free is our justification for buying so many silly souvenir shirts or magnets or shoes or how could I for get, Minnie ears!

•  First things first, planning is essential to a fun and stress free(ish) visit. If you want to go on a lot of rides you're going to need fast passes. If you want to have a sit down meal you're going to need a reservation. Anyway lets get back to what this post is about, packing for Disney.  I suggest downloading the My Disney Experience App on your phone (This is what Deni works on <3 )

• After scheduling our fast passes I grab my High Sierra Hydration Pack and fill that sucker up with ice cold water. Its amazing because it stays cool ALL DAY. The back side has air flow fabric that keeps your back cool from the cold water so your back doesn't sweat. Love it!

• In the main pouch I'll put our ponchos at the bottom. It's a running joke between Deni and I that we have to bring them EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Whether the forecast calls for rain or shine we bring the ponchos, because without fail when we forget them it downpours but when we bring the ponchos we don't need them. I don't know what kind of jokester magic is going on with that but I'd rather bring them and it not rain then have to waste money over and over again. It's happened so many times to us that we now have around 20 Mickey ponchos.

• Next is money, can't get a Mickey ice cream with some cash haha. I just grab my ID (mainly just incase I wanted an alcoholic drink) a credit card and some cash. A little of everything, you never know if their machine will go down and it's cash only. I put it in little card case. (Mine is Lilly Pulitzer but it's no longer available but this one is really cute.)

• Then sun protection. Sunglasses, hats, lip balm. This Kiehl's lip balm is the only one I use. Wax from chapstick will end up drying your lips out so I only use glosses. Also, Kiehl's main focus is hydration so you really can't go wrong with this on. I suggest putting sunscreen on before the parks so it's less to carry but I know kids need it reapplied so that it is just for those you don't plan on getting wet or just being there for a little while.

• Every morning Deni and I take Emergen-C to keep our immune systems up. I find it very important to take before going to a theme park. There are so many line with railing we're always touching. Honestly, I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the point.

• Another must that we bring every single time is Excedrin. Deni gets migraines all the time and if you add all that walking combined with the intense Florida heat it is a priority on our packing list.

• Last, I'll pack some snack. You are actually aloud to bring a lot into Disney parks as long as it's not glass. I usually pack a couple cliff bars but Deni's aunt came last weekend with her daughter and she brought waters, cereal, tomatoes.

MY FIRST BLOG POST!

Hello friends! Thanks for joining me. My name is Madelyn Phillips I live in Orlando Florida and I am getting a degree in Elementary Education.

I started this blog because I needed a hobby. I'm the type of person that if I don't have a bunch of things to do I don't get anything done. I think it's a whole momentum thing. I am also hoping that writing blog posts will help with my writing skills. As you can probably imagine getting a degree in Education there are a lot of state tests. What you may come to see in my writing is that I have "ADHD" just meaning that I have a lot of thoughts and it's hard for me to keep them straight.

Hmmm... I've got two dogs and they are my life! They are my babies. I'm sure you've heard of crazy cat ladies well.. I am a crazy dog lady. I have fallen in love with every dog I've ever met. If I could, I would live of a GIANT piece of land sleep in a trailer and have like 100+ dog. Crazy, I know. Here's a picture of my babies.
